Maria Sigma is an award-winning textile brand specialising in ‘zero waste’ hand-woven textiles made from wool that combine a contemporary approach with traditional weaving techniques.
Inspired by her Greek heritage and the colour palette of the British landscape, founder Maria combines her love of maths and craftsmanship to produce vibrant yet minimal and contemporary textiles, designed to become timeless heirlooms. Maria uses wool in her designs because it’s a natural insulator, non-allergic, odour resistant, renewable and biodegradable. It also requires less chemical cleaning than many other fibres. By adhering to a Zero Waste philosophy, Maria aspires to make hand-weaving an even more sustainable craft. She exclusively uses natural, undyed materials.
