aspect climate projects is a climate-conscious footwear brand designing and producing plant-based shoes. By sharing the independent scientific analysis of their materials, they're on a mission to inspire change in the footwear industry.
Founder Alex grew up around conservation with his family managing a local nature reserve. After working in footwear design and development for 15 years, he founded ‘aspect climate projects’ to create truly sustainable footwear. aspect goes beyond simply replacing some of the materials used in shoe production, it takes a holistic approach to reduce the environmental impact of shoes from materials, through to design and disposal.
Some of the materials are waste products from the food industry such as discarded coconut husks and pineapple leaves, and others that are harvested from trees such as cork and rubber. aspect climate project’s unisex trainers come in 4 unique and natural colours.
They are also made to order and take about 12-14 weeks to arrive, this helps them to further reduce waste and therefore their impact on the world.
